Here is her clean fresh face. Hardly needs a thing. |
Alright, lets jump right into this. Above you see Emily's before picture with a very contagious smile. I wanted to try something new and she was willing to let me. However, I did NOT mention that I wanted to attempt to line her water line on her lower lid. She already has some problems with the pores around there and I irritated the CRAP out of them. I felt really bad. Lesson learned: Always go over how you plan your application BEFORE actually applying it. Sorry Emily!
Since this gel liner was new, I wanted it to be bold, but I made it a little too thick. I will have to work on that a bit. I should have had her close her eyes or look down. I used a golden yellow type color from MAC that I really like but tried using it in a different way than I'm used to. I was happy with the results of her over all outcome. Minus the irritated eyes.
Here is ms beautiful Emily after. I had a bit of a heavy hand on the liner. |
Here is Sue's before picture. |
After! I love how similar their smiles are. |
Lesson learned from this session;
1- go over application with models BEFORE applying
2- St Ives Facial moisturizer works great and is even a great price
3- sometimes with BLACK gel liner, less is more
4- curl your lashes before applying mascara, and squeeze down first at the base, come up a little, squeeze again, come up a little, squeeze again. This prevents the "checkmark" looking lashes and creates a more natural looking curl.
4- I need to learn how to speed up the process as this took entirely too long
5- Emily and Sue are both very kind and patient and kept all children happy while I experimented away on Emily.
Thank you ladies for your time! I know you had other things you could have been doing. I had fun and will soon find out Sue's real name.
They both look great. Actually they both look great in the before AND the after pictures. Nice job Tara.
ReplyDeleteThank you and I concur. :)
DeleteThanks Tara! It was fun to have you come over. I guess I wasn't very good at introducing my mom :) For future reference, her name is Tammy, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind Sue :)
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, Tammy. I am so horrible with names! I know you introduced me but I just had her in my head as "Emily's mom".
